What is a Gunslinger? A Gunslinger is a trader wanting to day trade or swing trade the specific symbols for potentially 25%~65% profits every day/week/month.
Many people think it's impossible to accomplish this type of trading - but it's not impossible. It just takes dedication to adoping a Gunslinger style and and trade execution.
A Gunslinger lives by these rules:
- Trade only when opportunity exists for profits.
- Start your position very small (one options contract - maybe two).
- Stay AGILE. Don't get married to a trade/trend.
- If price does not confirm your expectations within 3 to 5+ minutes - GET OUT.
- If price does confirm your expectations within 3 to 5+ minutes, consider adding to your position (if needed) and start to BOOK PROFITS QUICKLY.
- Your only objective is to hit the target (profits) and move to the next target/trade.
- If you've pulled the initial profits (BOOKED PROFITS) and the trend appears to continue - look for RE-ATTACK (re-entry) levels.
- Always try to start the day with a winner (even a small winner).
- Be prepared to FLIP POSITIONS instantly. Price does not go straight up or straight down. A Gunslinger will pull $10 profits if the markets weaken and show signs of a reversal.
- If you do catch a runner trend, start BOOKING PROFITS early and let one or two runners catch the rest of the trend.
The most important rules are : Book your profits and don't let losing trades build into bigger losses.
This is not a rocket science type of trading. It requires focused dedication to following the rules and being able to flip positions (agility) throughout the day.

Learning to become a skilled Gunslinger means learning how to use these tools to benefit your ongoing trading and ultimately staying very agile and fluid related to price trending. One must also understand that price can pause, or congest, at times. These are some of the most difficult times to trade. It is best to just wait out the sideways trending and to wait for better trade setups.
As you will see in the Gunslinger Trading Examples, I suggest using two or three different intervals to maintain a proper perspective related to price trends and opportunities. If you focus too intently on a 30 second chart, you may miss the clear trend/trade triggers on the 2 min or 5 min charts. Remember, stay agile and adjust to what the Gunslinger tools are showing you.
