ASL
Breakout System
The
ASL breakout system is an advanced
analysis model that I created many years ago. It was
in an attempt to create a stop method that reacts to
price more effectively that I stumbled onto this set
of indicators. I was trying to create something that
followed price when it trends and allowed for some price
congestion. The ASL system came about because I noticed
that when prices breached these levels, they tended
to TREND.
This
is a TICK chart of the EMINI with my ASL system in place
(using the default settings). You can see this chart
is pretty clean and by using the stochastics (again
as a confirming tool), the ASL appears to be working
pretty well.
I've
drawn lines where the ASL system
and the STOCHASTICS have confirmed the trades. Now,
don't get the wrong idea from this chart - there will
be times when it does not do as well as this example.
But you can clearly see how this tool can be of value
to any trader.
