Metastock 7.2 Data File Requirements

Metastock recently made some changes to their data file type and thus this document is now needed to assist PFP users. This document is designed to assist Metastock 7.2 data file users.

The PFP programs will read the Metastock 7.2 data files. The only requirement is that ALL OF THE DATA FILES MUST INCLUDE 7 FIELDS. The 7 fields are Date, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume and Open Interest.

The most common problem with PFP users is the lack of OPEN INTEREST in the data files. If you are experiencing problems with Metastock 7.2 data files, please use Metastock to verify that Open Interest is included in all of your symbols.

That should take care of the problem.
