Technical Support Issues.
Note: Whenever you see A:, B:, C: or D: within
this text, A: and B: represent your possible
floppy drives within your computer and C: and
D: represent your possible hard disks within
your computer. If you only have one (1) floppy
drive, it is the first drive in your computer
and considered A: - your hard disk would then
be considered C:.
A: and B: can be switched in any example below
to meet the needs of your computer system.

Error # 3 or Error Initializing Borland Database
Engine
----------
If this error is generated with the "Borland
Database Enging Configuration" then just click
OK and continue. If this error is generated
at the end of the installation process (when
it asks for Disk #1 again) then it is probably
caused because the Disk #1 is write-protected.
Change the little tab on the back of the disk
(top left corner).
The Error #3 can also be caused if you are trying
to install the program a second time while the
protection device is currently installed on
your hard drive. If this is the case, by the
time you get this error, all of the program
files should have been installed onto your computer.
So we don't have to worry re-installing the
program. Now, all we have to do is replace the
protection device.
1. Put disk 1 (Saumrai) into A or B
2. Type CSFCHCK C: or D: (from an A
or B prompt)
You want this to return with Error (24)
If not.....
2a. Type SCPBAT R C: A: CSFWIN (From
an A or B prompt) - then
try #2 again until you get the ERROR 24.
3. Type SCPBAT I A: C: CSFWIN /V (from
an A or B prompt) to install
the new protection device.
4. Type CSFCHCK C: or D: to verify that
the protection device is now on your D drive.
This should return a "Remaining Installs 000"
- if so, you are OK and ready to go.
----------
M000 Error
----------
The M000 error is caused because the protection
device could not be placed onto your hard drive.
Here are the instructions for resolving the
error.
1. Put disk 1 (Saumrau) into A or B
2. Type CSFCHCK D: (from an A or B prompt)
You want this to return with Error (24)
If not.....
2a. Type SCPBAT R D: A: CSFWIN (From
an A or B prompt) - then
try #2 again until you get the ERROR 24.
3. Type SCPBAT I A: D: CSFWIN (from
an A or B prompt) to install
the new protection device.
4. Type CSFCHCK D: to verify that the
protection device is now on
your D drive. This should return a "Remaining
Installs 000" - if so, you
are OK and ready to go.

General GPF Errors while trying to load a chart
for the first time.
----------
These errors are caused because the technical,
display, analysis and directory setting of the
program are not set. Sometimes the installation
program will not properly install the *.CPG
(configuration) file properly and you will have
to set these before the program will operate
properly. To resolve this error:
1. Start the Candlestick Forecaster (WIN) program,
or go to it if it is currently loaded and running.
2. Press CTRL-D to bring up the CSF Settings
Screen.
3. Set each of the individual tabs (top of the
window) properly.

Directory Settings:
You should know how to set these on your own.
Use the file type window (Bottom Right) to select
the type of files to load. Then use the directory
list box to select the proper directory for
the data files. You're done.
-------------> DON"T FORGET THIS ONE!!!!!
Click on the DEFAULT checkbox below the OK and
CANCEL buttons. Then click the OK button.
Now, close the CSF program and restart it again
(exit the program and start it over again).
This should solve your problems.

Getting Extra Installs over the Internet
----------------------
To reset a program disk over the internet we
must do two things. 1) open the RESET program
in a temporary DOS window and start the reset
procedure there. 2) leave this temporary DOS
window open until the reset code is sent to
you from our offices in the US. Then, you simply
type in the reset code and you will have the
extra installs.
Note: The disk #1 must stay in drive A during
this time and the computer can not be turned
off or RESET - otherwise, we have to start all
over again.
Instructions...
---------------
Put disk #1 into drive A
Open Windows Explorer (or the FileManager -
WINFILE.EXE)
Go to the A drive and open the RESET.EXE file
Type in the name of the CSF program you have
CSF Samurai = CSFWIN
CSF Gakuto = CSFWIN
CSF Master = CSFM
CSF V2 = CSF
Wait for the DETAILED USER CODE (a total of
six numbers).
Now, E-mail me (Bmatheny@ment.com) with the DETAILED
USER CODE numbers. Do not close this temporary DOS window!!!.
I will return a set of twelve numbers (the DETAILED
RESET CODE). Type them into the DOS window where
it asks for the DETAILED RESET CODE and press
. You should see a message that reads
"The installation counter of selected program
has been changes. Press [R] to Restart, or [E]
to Exit.". Press E and you are done.

Checking the installs on the program disks
and your hard drive.
----------------------
To check the remaining installs on the program
disks and your hard drive we need to do the
following:
Put disk #1 into drive A or B
Go to an A or B prompt
type CSFCHCK A: or B:
This should return with "Remaining Installs
(000)" or (001) or (002).
If it returns (000), you are out if installs
and will need to reset
your program disks.
next...
From an A: or B: prompt
type CSFCHCK C: or D:
This should return with "Remaining Installs
(000)" if there is an install
left on the hard drive.
- or -
If it returns ERROR 24, there are no installs
on the hard drive.
