Opening Data Files With OmniTrader
----------
Currently, OmniTrader stores data collected from its suppliers
on your hard drive in a METASTOCK 7.2 format. The PFP
program supports this data file type.
Most of the time, the OmniTrader software is installed
within your C:/Program Files directory. So to setup the
PFP program to read this data you would do the following...
1. Click on START the PFP program
2. Click on FILE
3. Click on OPEN FILE TYPE
4. Click on METASTOCK BINARY
5. Choose the DRIVE and DIRECTORY where OmniTrader is
storing the Metastock data files
6. Once your files appear in the list, choose any one
by CLICKING on it.
7. Click on OK
The PFP program will attempt to load the chart. If successfull,
you will see a chart appear within a few seconds. If not,
you will probably receive an error or not see a chart
appear. If you were not able to load a chart with these
instructions, please press CTRL-D to check the programs
DEFAULT settings. If all the technical indicator values
are "1" or do not appear correctly, click on the REVERT
button, then click on the DEFAULT checkbox (below the
REVERT button), then click OK. Now, try to load the chart
again.
