GPF Errors when starting the PFP program
----------

Currently, the only known problem with GPF errors that occur as you start the PFP program are potentially related to installed printer drivers - or lack there of. The PFP program uses the installed printer drivers to setup its internal reporting/printing options when it starts-up. If no printer driver is installed, then the PFP program will generate a GPF error on startup. To resolve this issue, simply install a standard printer or a common printer on your windows system.

Also, we are currently aware that certain HP printer drivers also cause errors with the PFP program. HP is aware of these errors and stated that "because they did not write the drivers, they suggest using an older printer driver as a replacement". The best solution we have found is to install the HP LASERJEC SERIES II printer driver onto your system and set it as your default. This printer driver is "rock-solid" and will typically still print to newer printers.

1. Click on START
2. Click on SETTINGS
3. Click on PRINTERS
4. Click on ADD PRINTER
5. Choose the MAKE and MODEL of the printer you wish to install
6. Click on OK

You will need yout Windows CD to complete the installation of the new printer (unless you have downloaded the drivers to your local hard drive from the internet.

Once this is completed, simply try to restart the PFP program to see if the problem has been resolved.

If you have any further questions, please contact me (internet preferred).
