Features:
PFP Workspaces allow users to place charts
onto the chart tabs and store the chart configurations
into a workspace. This workspace can then be re-loaded
at any time in the future to speed up the use of the
PFP program and the users ability to quickly load a
pre-designed array of charts. This feature operates
in both the PFP 1.0 and PFP 2.0 program.
Fibonacci
Retracement Levels have recently been added
to the PFP program. The PFP program calculates the 5
most common Fibonacci levels and plots them on the chart.
The users can select the high~low range to calculate
the Fibonacci levels manually, or allow the PFP program
to select the levels. The PFP program allows the user
to plot the upper, middle and lower Fibonacci levels.
The
Watch/Vision Table is the newest feature
added only to the PFP 2.0 program. This new feature
allows users to *instantly* identify any pattern within
a CandleWatch or CandleVision database. It also allows
users to *instantly* identify any trading signal with
a CandleWatch or CandleVision database. The Watch/Vision
Table provides detailed reporting features and allows
the users to sort the queried results a number of ways.
Future upgrades will include more enhancements to the
querying features and reporting features.
Charting and Analysis Features:
Charts
any Equity, Commodity Market (anything with an Open,
High, Low, Close & Volume) in Japanese Candlestick
and Western Bar format. The PFP programs can display
multiple charts on screen at one time. The number of
charts that can be visually displayed on one screen
is limited to the screen resolution of your monitor
and the physical size of your monitor.
Quickly
compress any chart to Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly,
Yearly or 3, 2 or 1 line break chart or compress to
a variable type chart for more detailed (long-term)
analysis.
Users
can custom configure the visual display of the chart
- including the chart color, candle color (empty, full
and doji), pointer color, enable/disable the grid lines
and change their colors as well as configure the number
of trading sessions visible on the chart at one time
and the size of the candles.
Users
can modify the "Chart Tabs" which allow the
users to organize the charts that are displayed on screen.
The users can create up to 255 individual unique "Chart
Tabs" to place chart onto.
Enable/disable
the display of the "CandleBox" which is a
floating toolbox showing the single candle formation,
the Western technical indicator values, the single candle's
price and date values as well as the graphical representations
of the computer's automated analysis (called the "Vision
Flags"). This window is used by simply moving the
mouse pointer over the candles of any chart resulting
in the appropriate values and images being displayed
within the "CandleBox" window.
Users
can choose to enable/disable the display of the additional
"Indicator Windows" by simply clicking on
a Speed Button or by a Hot-Key. The Indicator windows
can be removed from the chart to provide the users with
a larger picture of the market's chart action (when
needed), or it can be included with the chart when the
user wants to associate the Western indicator values
activity with the chart action.
Users
can print any chart they choose, after configuring the
chart with the proper colors, visible indicators and
the number of trading sessions shown on screen, in color
or black and white.

Takahiro
Hikita Candlestick Library
This library consists of candlestick patterns that were
identified by Takahiro Hikita, a software developer
and investor in Japan. These patterns are very unique
pattern formations and, to the best of my knowledge,
have never been disclosed before.
3, 2 & 1 Line Break Library
This library consists of a Japanese version of a "point
and figure" style chart. The Line Break chart is
irrelevant of time. It simply tracks the markets ability
to close higher or lower consistently. The term "Line
Break" refers to the "breakout" style
used to identify market reversals. A 3 Line Break means
the market must close above, or below, the previous
three bars to be considered a market reversal. A 2 Line
Break means the market must close above, or below, the
previous two bars to be considered a market reversal.

Technical Indicator Library
The Technical Indicator Library includes analysis of
the other technical indicators included within the PFP
software. These indicators are use in conjunction with
the pattern recognition system. This library assists
in identifying potentially profitable trading signals
and teaching users how to understand technical indicators.
Using The Specialized Libraries:
PFP
users have complete control of the interactive analysis
libraries. Users can choose to enable or disable any
of the libraries at will. The result is that the PFP
program will only look for patterns in the libraries
that are selected by the user.

launch Windows or DOS applications.
Automated Analysis Features:
Instantly

action, text signal, suggested stop placement and trailing
levels as well as monitors the other Western technical
indicator values for signs of strength or weakness.
**
The CandleWatch feature (only
available with the PFP 2.0
program) allows the user to establish and
maintain individual lists of equities or commodities
for the Pattern Forecaster Plus V2.0 software application
to scan automatically every trading day. The CandleWatch
can scan the data files on a daily, weekly, monthly,
quarterly or yearly basis for trading signals. The CandleWatch
feature also includes a detailed, or summarized, reporting
feature whereas the user can generate printouts of the
analysis information identified by the Pattern Forecaster
Plus V2.0 software. These reports are very important
to the professional investor because they can be generated
by the computer automatically and can be printed for
future reference. CandleWatch list files can be maintained,
changed or updated as the user wishes to include/exclude
individual files from the lists.
(The
CandleWatch feature may take some time to complete depending
on the number of files included within the list and
the length of the individual data files. The CandleWatch
feature opens, reads and analyzes all of the trading
sessions within the historical data file, then records
its findings into a database for reporting. The CandleWatch
file list can contain as many as 16767 individual data
files. If the user wishes to scan more than 16767 individual
charts, he/she must create another CandleWatch file
list.)
**
The CandleVision feature
(only available with the PFP
2.0 program) allows the user to back-test
any chart for past trading signals or to quickly identify
the types of signals that were generated over a specific
timeframe. The CandleVision feature also includes a
"Profitability Testing Module" which allows
the user to quickly test signals that were generated
by the computers automated analysis to accuracy. The
Profit testing module includes unique options, which
allows the user to configure the test to their preferred
style of trading. The CandleVision also includes detailed,
or summarized, reports of the signals that were identified
by the computers automated analysis. These reports can
be very useful for investors when attempting to learn
and identify the types of signals the market is generating
before entering a trade.
**
The CandleVision Flags (only available
with the PFP 2.0 program)
allow users to visually see where BUY and SELL signals
have formed on the chart and quickly see how well the
PFP program will generate signals in the future.
The
"Traders Log" is a diary-like tool for the
investors to use to keep personal notes about specific
markets and pattern formations. This software tool is
provided with all PFP software applications.
