The
instructions for installing MENT Trader Services are
a bit more complicated than most application because
we are using Microsoft's .NET 1.1 programming environment.
This requires that you install the Microsoft .NET
1.1 SDK first.
At
this point, you should have everything installed for
the demonstration of MTS and GAIN. The only other
thing we need is an active GAIN demo account.. If

Now,
the process of starting all of this is pretty
easy, but I wanted to give you the instructions
anyway..
1. Start the GAIN "FOREXTrader.web"
application from www.gaincapital.com
-- Once this is loaded, leave it
running so you can watch the orders being fired
into your account
2. Start MENT Trader Services MTS
2a. After MTS starts, click on "Settings"
and enter your esignal username into the MENT
tab.
2b. Then click on the GAIN tab and enter your
demo account login and password.
2c. Then click OK
3. Then, watch near the bottom left of MTS for
"GAIN : Connected" - which indicates
a proper login
4. Then click on "Clear Log" to clear
the order log.
-- Once this is loaded, MTS is loaded
and ready to start firing orders into your demo
account
5. Start eSignal
6. Open an Adv. Chart (File, New, Adv. Chart,
Default)
7. Remove any existing indicators from the chart
(Right-click on the chart, Remove, All Studies)
8. Load the "TradeButtons GAIN-MTS"
demo program onto this chart (Right-click on the
chart, Formulas, MENT, TradeButtons GAIN/MTS,
TradeButtons V1 Gain.dist.efs)
9. When the TradeButton application loads, you
should see a series of buttons (colored text markers)
on the chart (like the attached file). This application
is designed to work for the EUR A0-FX and GBP
A0-FX symbols ONLY. Simply click on the "BUY
1" or "SELL 1" button MTS should
fire the order into GAIN. This is an example of
how MTS is communicating from esignal to GAIN
and executing the orders. |
The TradeButtons application is designed to be a simple
strategy execution system for esignal. Users can setup
TradeButtons to have different types of stop systems
and profit target systems (at different levels), then
simply click a button to fire off a trade. You'll
notice the STATUS and TRADE RESULTS on the right site
of the buttons. These tell you how you are doing and
your current position.
